The Amateur Softball Association is proud to be able to organize the Bound 4 Beijing Tour for the National Team as they prepare for the 2008 Olympic Games. The 2008 Women's National Team will travel to Beijing in August to defend their three Olympic gold-medals. In the coming months they will make 42 stops around the country competing in over 60 games. The team will compete against NCAA Division I opponents, Regional All-Star teams as well as International Competition.

The Greater Sacramento Softball Association will host one of the tour stops on Monday May 19th, 2008 at the Sacramento Softball Complex. The event begins at 6:30pm and gates will open at 6pm. Tickets for this event are $25. Parking will be $5 per car at the Sac Complex or you can park for free at the IRS building across the street and catch a free shuttle to the fields.

Teams or Leagues who are registered with GSSA and who purchase 25 or more tickets can purchase them at a discounted price. Please email Cassi Rogers for additional information.

The event will include watching the players take batting practice, an autograph session, and an exhibition game with a Sacramento All-Star team. There will be food and beverages available all evening at the restaurant located inside the complex. Many big name vendors will also be set up with all kinds of softball gear. We encourage you to come out and enjoy an exciting night of softball. These are the best softball players in the world and they will be here showcasing their talents.

College Softball Recruiting Program

Are you interested in playing college softball? Would you like to play softball at a college that meets your athletic and academic expectations.? Do you want to go directly from high school to a competitive college softball team?

rpsportstraining is looking for young High School and ASA Softball Players just like you who want to play college softball. We are looking for good softball players who are Freshman, Sophomores, or Juniors in high school. We want softball players that we can market to colleges for at least two years before their high school graduation.

rpsportstraining has contacts with many college softball recruiters. We have college recruiters that want us to refer good softball athletes like you. However you must meet certain qualifications to receive a scholarship or a financial aid package from these colleges.

Some of the qualifications are you must have good to great softball and athletic skills. You must have a good GPA, ACT, & SAT scores. You must pass an athletic and softball skills test. We must observe your softball game versus competition.
